Master Detective January 2018
Lesley Whittle was just 17 when she was abducted from her Shropshire home by Dennis Neilson, the Black Panther. He was already a notorious criminal, the shot-gun killer of three sub-postmasters when he snatched the teenage heiress in January 1975 as part of a blackmailing plot. By the end of the tragic saga Neilson’s place in the annals of British crime was sealed, his cold-blooded, heartless crimes earning him a whole-life sentence.
From 1970s Britain to 1930s Cleveland, Ohio, for the final part of Scourge Of The Underworld – The Eliot Ness Story. During the Depression era the city’s Kingsbury Run was considered a good place to dump things – then the headless, bloodless corpses started appearing. Could Ness crack the case?
