Description

In January this year, the newspapers announced the deaths of two well known criminals: Kim Newell, who was involved in a particularly brutal murder during the 1960’s, and Alfie Hinds, a man who never killed but made quite a name for himself as the scourge of those repsonsible for keeping him behind bars!

Eva Dugan was quite a character. It’s a pity she was a killer and had to be executed, because her capacity to make people laugh was quite a gift. Able to be hilariously funny even when police officers confronted her with evidence which would condemn her to death, she was audacious – even heroic – to the last!

By complete contrast, Bertha De Spaen Peterson, a middle-aged spinster of Biddenden, Kent, had not one saving grace. Her soul destroyed by consuming spite and snobbery, she killed – but died alone and unloved.

From eye-witness reports, the incredible eight-year quest to bring a killer to justice from Tucson, Arizona.
