The French A6 road, much used by British motorists driving from Paris to the Mediterranean, is generally crowded with traffic. The Burgundy stretch is probably less busy than the northern section, and it was along this stretch that 11 young women were murdered in 21 years. In 2015, killer Jean-Pierre Mura was imprisoned for one of the murders – and now Pascal Jardin has been found guilty of another, having got away with it for 18 years.
