A burglar undoubtedly killed Miss Harriett Randall, 66, who had been dead for four days when her body was found in her flat in Peabody Buildings, Walworth, south-east London. The burglar broke in on Friday, October 18th, 1957, and beat her about the head with an umbrella before emptying two cash boxes and wiping both of them clean of fingerprints.
