Described as “a quiet, gentle man with no enemies,” Keith Church, 27, was cycling along Hoddeson High Road, Hertfordshire, to his home in Broxbourne on Friday, July 9th, 1982 when he was pounced upon by a maniac who stabbed him several times. Keith managed to cycle on for another 500 yards round a corner before calling for help and collapsing in a front garden in St. Catherine’s Road. He died on his way to hospital.

There is still a £10,000 reward for information leading to the killer’s arrest. In 2002 a senior police officer told the BBC’s Crimewatch, “We genuinely believe that someone out there knows who killed him and why.”
