An English girl gave evidence that she saw Dr. Justin Obi, 65, a Nigerian and a professor of biology, shoot Bishop Dillard Brown, a black American, and his assistant Claude Nadar, and on her testimony Dr. Obi was convicted in March 1971, and sentenced to death for the double murder. He was hanged on Friday, November 19th, 1971.
No motive was ever suggested for the crimes, and Dr. Obi maintained his innocence until the end. I have no malice, nor do I hate anyone, he said. I go to my creator with joy.
