She was only 10 years old but according to a witness at her inquest she was advanced for her age and ever since she was eight she had been engaging in sexual activity.
This sad little life of Florence Port came to a sudden end on Thursday, October 23rd, 1947, when her body was found in a field on the edge of Fleetwood, Lancashire, where she lived. She had been severely beaten, raped and suffocated.
